چکیده

Calcium phosphate with hydroxyapatite structure was synthesized and its ability to adsorb Cr(VI) from aqueous solution is presented. XRD, BET, IR, TGA, SEM and EDS techniques were used to characterize the obtained material. A pure phase was obtained through a simple synthesis process. The specific surface area of the synthesized powder was found to be 64.5 m2 g-1. The X-ray diffraction pattern shows that the calcium phosphate formed was nanocrystalline with an average grain size of approximately 75 nm. A fast adsorption was observed and in less than 24 h it was found that 2.41 x 10-4 meq g-1 of Cr(VI) ions were adsorbed on calcium phosphate. Desorption experiments showed that Cr(VI) adsorption decreased to 2.23 x 10-4 meq g-1 of calcium phosphate. This behavior is a consequence of partial dehydration of the synthesized material. Calcium phosphate can be effectively used for removing Cr(VI) from aqueous solutions in treatment processes of metal wastes. Optimization of solvothermally synthesized ZIF-67 metal organic framework and its application for Cr(VI) adsorption from aqueous solution

In this study, ZIF-67 was synthesized through solvothermal method to remove Cr(VI) ions from aqueous solution. To improve the structural properties of ZIF-67 and its adsorption capacity, optimization of the synthesis conditions was carried out based on maximum Cr(VI) uptake. From experiments, the optimum condition was revealed as solvent: metal ion molar ratio of 4.6:1, ligand: metal ion molar ...

Heavy Metals (Cr (VI), Cd (II) and Pb (II)) Ions Removal by Modified Jute: Characterization and Modeling

Jute modified has been used for adsorption of Cr (VI), Cd (II) and Pb (II) ions over a range ofinitial metal ion concentration. Adsorption process is done in batch mode. Adsorption isotherms ofthe heavy metals on adsorbents prepared were determined and correlated with common isothermequations. It was found that the Freundlich isotherm is better than Langmuir for explaining thebehavior of adsorp...

A new one-dimensional uranium(VI) coordination polymer, [UO2(μ-DMP)2(TMP)]n (1) (DMP is dimethyl phosphate and TMP is trimethyl phosphate), was prepared from the reaction of UO2(NO3)2.6H2O and TMP in in THF (THF is tetrahydrofuran) as a solvent. Suitable crystals of this complex for crystal structure determination were obtained by slow evaporation of the produced yellow solution at room tempera...

Evaluation of adsorption efficiency of activated carbon/chitosan composite for removal of Cr (VI) and Cd (II) from single and bi-solute dilute solution

The aim of this study was to evaluate the adsorption capacity of the novel coated activated carbon by chitosan for removal of Cr (VI) and Cd (II) ions from single and bi-solute dilute aqueous solutions. In addition, the adsorption abilities of activated carbon (AC), chitosan (CH) and chitosan / activated carbon composite (CHAC) have been compared. Adsorption studies were performed in a batch sy...
